Envision has incredible High Definition LCD TVs for sale at unbelievably low prices. But if you haven't had the fortune of owning a HD TV yet, how do you know you are really getting a great bargain by deciding to purchase an Envision LCD TV?
In this review we'll go over some basics of High Definition, and why Envision has them down.
Most 32", and 37" High Definition TVs have resolutions at 1366x768, a Widescreen Resolution (6:9 Aspect Ratio). This provides a clear 720p or 1080i (1366x768 resolution and above). There are five different formats for the Envision LCD TV (37"): Normal, Full, Letterbox, Zoom and Panorama. It also features a De-interlacer and 3D Comb Filter. Viewing Angle is also something to take into account. The larger the Viewing Angle the more you can see of the screen from a corner of the room, because there is less glare or distortion as you move around.
1200:1 Contrast Ratio is becoming a standard for affordable HDTVs. But what is contrast? Contrast is the screen's ability to project bold, sharp projections of luminance and blacks, making colors vibrant or shadowy - whichever the media is aiming at. A high contrast ratio will allow for more precise graduation of color shades, while a low contrast ratio will make the screen appear mute and lifeless. In short, the higher the contrast ratio, the bolder the imagery.
This screen has a 8ms response time, which is more than adequate for any gaming platform. This used to be an issue for LCD TVs, but technology has improved and you'll be hard pressed to find any that have any difficulty handling motion or response time.
HDMI is also a huge factor in High Definition DVDs, Blu-Ray, or gaming. This screen has two HDMI ports, so if you've got more than one favorite system, attaching them both at the same time won't be a hassle at all. It also features a PC Input, so if you're into PC gaming or just want a larger screen for browsing, this one has it.
One of the coolest features about High Definition LCD TVs is that nearly all of them can be wall mounted. Envision LCD TV (37") is VESA Wall Mountable, so you can pick that up as well to attach it overhead.
